Privacy Policy — Cloudwawi Order Recorder

Last updated: 2026-07-03

The Cloudwawi Order Recorder ("the extension") is an internal tool for Cloudwawi operators. It records a single, operator-initiated software-order flow in the operator's own browser and hands that recording to the operator's own Cloudwawi backend so a purchase-automation script can be built from it.

What the extension records

Recording is off by default. Nothing is read or captured until the operator clicks Start recording, and capture stops the moment they click Stop. It is scoped to the single browser tab the recording was started in.

While recording, and only then, the extension captures the mechanics of the order flow so it can be replayed later:

  • Elements interacted with (clicks, form changes, submits) and a set of selector candidates that identify each element.
  • Page navigations and the URLs involved in the recorded flow.
  • The values typed or selected in non-credential form fields. Because a checkout form can contain personal details (for example a name, email address, shipping address, or phone number), those values are captured and included in the uploaded recording. This is necessary to reproduce the order.

Credentials and payment data are redacted

Passwords, credit-card numbers, CVV, and expiry fields are redacted inside the browser before anything is sent. For these fields the recording notes only that the field was filled — never the value. Those values never leave the operator's machine.

What the extension does NOT collect

  • No browsing history outside a Start→Stop window is read. The extension is inert on every page until a recording is explicitly started.
  • No analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, or tracking of any kind.
  • Data is never sold or shared with third parties.

Where the data goes

When the operator clicks Stop, the single recorded trace is uploaded once to the Cloudwawi API endpoint that the operator themselves configured, over an authenticated connection using the operator's own Cloudwawi account. The extension talks to no other server. There is no Cloudwawi-operated analytics or third-party endpoint involved.

What is stored locally

The extension stores, in the browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local):

  • The API URL the operator configured.
  • The operator's Cloudwawi authentication tokens, used to authorize the upload.

These stay on the operator's device. Signing out clears the tokens.

Data retention

The extension retains nothing long-term itself: its job is "record and hand off". Retention of an uploaded recording is governed by the operator's own Cloudwawi backend and that organization's data policies.
